January SITREP
The new year is here and with it a chance to try something different. Every two weeks we meet for scenario based, competitive, action packed Airsoft warfare. If you have been thinking of trying Airsoft out DO IT! If you have been wondering if you have what it takes to perform under the pressure of suppressing fire DO IT! Anybody can sit at home and be a Chairsofter. There is nothing like getting out into the forest and actually achieving your teams objective in a hard fought battle. Log in to the forums, check into Roll Call, and come on out to the next HAL event! See you on the battlefield.

December SITREP
Our final event of 2011 is upon us. This year has been one of the most challenging in the 8 year history of the league. We hosted our largest event ever as well as 6 other signature HAL events along with our standard schedule. Sadly though, on September 16th, we suffered the greatest loss since our inception with the death of a valued member, Sergeant Chad “TK” Scott, due to the recklessness of a drunk driver. We hosted memorial services for our fallen Sergeant at the event following his passing and a memorial patch was created to ensure that those who did get to experience the perils of battle at his side would have a badge of honor to carry with them as a symbol of the significance of TK’s impact on them and the group that they are a part of. We really must appreciate the time spent with people we care about, and in the end help make us who we are. We as a group and I as a man will miss Sergeant TK but I thank him for his service to the league, its players and as a friend. We hope to bring the level of professionalism, honor and intensity of gameplay that TK helped bring out in people and we as a group have become known for.
2012 will bring new challenges and more new faces to our fields. This constant influx of new blood has helped HAL grow to its largest since it was started in 2003. Every year we see new faces turn into the veteran airsofters that make HAL the amazing group that it has become. The Humboldt Airsoft League is a truly tight knit community of likeminded individuals from an extremely WIDE range of backgrounds. We are all different people but we come together as one and, year after year, it never ceases to amaze me. It is this ability to put every external preconception aside and focus on completing an objective with your team under the stress of battle that makes us all brothers and sisters. We succeed together, fail together and grow together to make this group what it is. See you on the battlefield.

October 5th, 2011
September was a month filled with fun and tragedy. We had our final full moon event of the year and everybody that attended had a blast shooting tracer rounds late into the night. Sadly less than a week later HAL Sergeant Chad “TK” Scott was killed by the recklessness of a drunk driver while driving home from work. We will all miss him and we can only hope for the best for his family in these hard times. TK had been an instrumental member in HAL since he joined in 2009. He worked hard to improve our fields and provided Mil-Sim props in every major event. A memorial TK patch is being made for all HAL members and should be ready by the event on the 22nd.
We have two events scheduled this month. Come on out and check out the Fernsoft Arena field before we move back to the Hedgerow field for the winter. Log into the forums and post your status in Roll Call. See you on the battlefield.

July SITREP
Summer is in full effect which means it’s time for another campout! The fourth annual Major Chronic’s Combat Campout is July 16-17th. This is a full moon event like last year so the tracer games will be well lit and action packed! We are going to be having a BBQ dinner and breakfast to go along with our night games and MilSim day scenarios. We are looking at 3 full moon events this summer so buy a tracer unit and come on out! HAL night games are some of the most enjoyable airsofting you will ever get to experience. See you on the battlefield.

February SITREP
After a great month stacked with airsoft we move on to our first special event of the year Operation Ball and Chain 3. Our third installment of the annual Valentine’s Day event was our largest on record. We encourage all our players to bring out their significant others to see what we are doing every other Saturday at this event. We are always happy to see so many new player surprised at how fun this sport can be. The weather has been surprisingly great for airsofting even though we are mid winter. We are hoping to stay dry this winter but either way we look forward to continued growth and another great month of Airsoft in Humboldt. See you on the battlefield.

December SITREP
We have had quite a roller coaster of a year with a steady growth of great new player additions, our best Major Chronic's Combat Campout on record with sponsorships from AEX http://www.airsoftextreme.com/content/ and AirsoftGI http://www.airsoftgi.com/ A followup night event with more tracer fire than I have ever seen in my 8 years of Airsofting. Sadly a month later we would lose access to one of our favorite fields for the past 5 years due to an increase in trash dumping by unknown neighborhood members and homeless encampments. This was followed by the discovery of a new area at our existing Fieldbrook location that we were able to carve an arena style field that lends itself to intense firefights for land and another Operation Infected and a half. As always we really need to thank all the players that make this group what it is. It is your attitude and energy on the field that makes the day what it is. We look forward to introducing some really bad ass new props in the next year to follow up this year's round of awesome additions (Chronic's AA Shells and gold bars, TK's rockets). We are looking to host another shooting competition for prizes next year along with more night games and the annual Ball n' Chain, MC3, and Operation Infected events. Indeed we look forward to shooting all of you in the future many, many times.
We round off the year with two events in Fieldbrook. Log in and post your status. See you on the battlefield.

October SITREP
We have a new field in Fieldbrook and a month packed with airsoft this October. We will be focused on the new field for the first half of the month but we will close out with Operation Infected 2 at the Hedgerow field. Zombie infested airsoft action to start the Halloween weekend spirit right. There are rumors of a sole survivor from last year's incident. Will the zombies take advantage of their numbers and overwhelm the survivors this year? Log into the forums and post your status. See you on the battlefield.
